Information about the proposed new building for Stretham Branch surgery
Good news! We got planning permission to build a new GP branch surgery in Stretham. It will be part of the new Stretham Link at Manor Farm.
Stretham Surgery is a ‘branch site’ of Haddenham Surgery. Unfortunately it has been closed for service since March 2020, apart from weekly prescription collections. This new building will let us bring back all the healthcare services that Haddenham Surgery offers.
There will be five rooms where you can be seen face-to-face. This gives us almost twice as much space as we have now! We hope this will make it much easier for people who live in or near Stretham to see a doctor, nurse, or other healthcare professional.
You will still be able to pick up your medicine here every week, if we get the right permissions (we’re working on that). Because of how Stretham Link is designed, we might be able to extend further in the future as more houses are build and more people move to the area (if we get the right permissions).
We hope that having the doctor’s surgery as part of the Link Café will help bring people together to do more healthy and fun things together in Stretham.
Right now, we’re now asking the NHS to say yes to our final Business Case.
Please show your support!
