As an organisation, we prioritise staff wellbeing and fulfilment at work. We work really hard to ensure that our staff feel valued and supported. See our values here, which apply as much to how we deliver care to our patients, as to how we work with and support each other as colleagues. 

Here are just a few of the things that we pride ourselves on:

  • We are a strongly learning-focused organisation. We use MS Teams extensively to share insights, learnings, and audit results. We have a dedicated ‘Learning Points’ channel to make this easy to find in the busy working day. Despite our large size, we try to use Clinical Governance closures to bring everyone together as much as possible, to share learning in an open and welcoming way.
  • Our dedicated Quality Improvement team, who oversee our regular audits and ensure that the whole team is well-supported in any improvement projects, however big or small.
  • We have a mature and well-diversified ‘service delivery’ team, both clinical and non-clinical. This is designed to maximise our service to patients in a financially constrained system.
  • All three practices are accredited Primary Care Learning Organisations, supporting the next generation of clinicians. See our Team page to learn more.
  • We also have a diversified Operations Team, providing specialist expertise and capacity in key areas that underpin effective service delivery. Together with the Partners, the Ops Team are dedicated to ensuring that all staff feel well-supported, both as people, and in their professional capacity.
  • We offer excellent employment benefits in addition to the NHS pension, including generous sick pay and enhanced parental leave pay policies for all permanently employed staff.
  • Our partners generously provide fruit deliveries every other week as well as a monthly wellbeing budget where staff can vote on what they’d like to receive. So far this has included gift bags, ice creams van visits, Christmas gift advent calendars, a group personal training session and lots more!
  • We promote walking meetings (walk and talks), lunchtime exercise and promote our local Parkruns to staff. We host a large Christmas party each year. 
  • We conduct regular feedback staff surveys, take action on feedback, and report back to staff in a ‘You said, We did’ format to show how we have actioned staff feedback.
  • We have a ‘Positive Gossip’ channel on Teams, where staff can share their thanks and appreciation to their colleague, and a ‘Thanks!’ channel to share positive feedback and compliemtns from patients.
